This gives flat seams and minimal sewing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Simple JAYG rule<\/strong><br>When your new motif\u2019s R9 reaches a position adjacent to an already finished motif, <strong>replace<\/strong> the plain sc with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>sc in your motif stitch, ch 1, sl st into the corresponding sc (or corner) of the finished neighbor, ch 1\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For joining to two neighbors at a corner: sl st into each neighbor\u2019s corner ch-3 (space with ch-1 between sl sts).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build the first row left\u2192right (no joins for the very first motif).
